Business Wine and Cheese Night
UCFB, Jimmy McIlroy Stand, Turf Moor
Thursday 22nd March 2018
5:00pm - 7:00pm
Come along to find out the many ways BFCitC can support your recruitment and workforce needs, mainly our Friends of Burnley FC in the Community scheme, the Traineeship VIP Launch Event at Nelson and Colne College and our Turf Works Employability programmes.
BFCitC is looking for local businesses to help us in our mission to inspire, support and deliver change in our community. Since September, we have rolled out our 'Friends of' programme as well as our Patrons scheme. Both of these aim to support businesses as they look to meet their CSR, marketing/PR and charity agendas - alongside supporting the community in which we all work.
Come along and find out how your business can benefit from a unique partnership with Burnley FC in the Community.
Also, come and get a flavour of what our new Traineeship programme is all about and how it can benefit your business. We’ll introduce you to the programme via guest speakers, show you how we’ll find the ideal candidate to suit your workplace and tell you more about the passionate young people who are ready to take on our Traineeships.
Available across a range of sectors, the Traineeships are not only free, but also the perfect way to source and train motivated and enthusiastic candidates to fill your Apprenticeship role.
Turf Works is a combination of two community-based employability programmes; ‘Works’ for those age 16-24 and ‘Journey to Work’ for those aged 24 and over. The programmes offer advice, support and workshops on topics such as confidence building, CV writing and interview skills.
We use the power of Burnley FC to engage people who are currently not in involved in education, training or employment and we work with them to progress towards volunteering, work experience and ultimately employment. We are looking for businesses to provide placement opportunities for our participants.
